Saving Endangered Mammals: A Field Guide to Some of the Earth's Rarest Animals  - by Thane Maynard.  This book describes twenty-eight mammals in danger of extinction, from the giant panda to the Indiana bat, with a photograph, fact table, and range map for each, and discusses what is being, or can be done, to save them.
