Jaguar General Information

New Student and Kindergarten Registration Information

Parents may register new students to Juban Parc Elementary for the upcoming 2019-20 school year on June 3rd to June 7th from 9:00 to 2:00. Please make sure that you have the following documents with you when you register your child. You must bring the required registration document listed below for new students. It must be the legal guardian to enroll a child in school. The below documents are required for registration:
• Valid picture id
• Original birth certificate
o drop slip from previous school if applicable
• Original Social Security Card
• Shot record - Immunization Record
• Custody papers if applicable
• 4 proofs of residency (utility, water, phone, cable, waste management bill, etc.) Proofs of residence must have physical address listed.

Note: Parents that are using residency affidavit to enroll their child must wait until at least two weeks before school starts to register them. Child must be 5 by September 30, 2019 to be eligible for Kindergarten for the upcoming 2019 - 20 school year.

2019-2020 Registration for New Students

Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year! On behalf of the Juban Parc Faculty and Staff, it is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to our school.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. It is my belief that all students can become successful, life-long learners when they are supported by a strong learning community where parents, teachers, and administration work together to support one another. Students have the right to learn in a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment in order to achieve their maximum potential. Students, at the same time, need to take responsibility for their actions and decisions.

Please take time to become familiar with our expectations here at Juban Parc. We want JPE to be a fun place to learn, while at the same time maintaining those high standards and expectations for learning. Please remember to keep an open line of communication with your child’s teacher. It is my hope that you will join us in instilling in your child the importance of following these guidelines and procedures.

We are looking forward to an exciting year and appreciate your support in playing an integral part in your child’s education. Again, welcome to Juban Parc Elementary!

If you are shopping at Office Depot you can help our school by presenting JPE's school ID# card. Click here to download a copy of the card to keep with you that has our school ID# on it.

There are other ways in which you can participate and help raise monies to benefit our students at JPE. JPE currently participates in Box Tops for Education, Campbell’s Soup Labels, and Target Rewards.

Another way our parents can be involved in our school is to volunteer to help with projects and events throughout the school year. If you are interesting in volunteering at JPE then please complete and submit our Online JPE Volunteers Form. Click here to access the form.

Supply Fees and Spirit Shirts

The supply fees for all grade levels is $55.00 this year. All school fees that are paid by check must have two phones on them. If you will be paying fees for more than one student/activity, please send separate checks for each student/activity and include the student’s name and activity in the memo section of the check. This is to assure proper posting of payment. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Spirit shirts may be purchased in the office for $15. Students may wear them every Friday with uniform bottoms starting August 16.

Student Medical Concerns

Please click on the following link to access the Livingston Parish Health Rules. These rules will help you to determine if your child is healthy enough to attend school. Click here.

Parents if your child has a medical concern that we need to be aware of then please bring physician documentation as soon as possible. All medical concerns from the previous year must be updated as well. You may access the Medical Release Form by click here. We also encourage your to notify the school and the classroom teachers if your child has a dietary concern.

Parents may secure information about insurance for Voluntary K-12 Student Insurance for their school age children. This insurance will not be available until August 1^st, 2019 for activation on the first day of school. Please click on the following files to download them:

The Gradebook Parent Portal

The Gradebook Parent Portal for Juban Parc Elementary School is opened. The student's access codes were sent home at conference time. Click here to access your child's grades.

JPE Volunteers

We love having volunteers help at our school. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Mrs. Melancon for information. We cannot have a successful year without your help.

Family Literacy Center Information

The Family Resource Center is a loaning library open to parent with children enrolled in Livingston Parish Public Schools. Our goals is to provide resources to parents that will assist families with their child's educational needs. It is located at 9261 Florida Blvd. Room 142 B, Walker, LA in The Literacy and Technology Center. Their hours are:

Tuesday 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday 9:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Thursday 9::00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. Click here to download more information. It is closed for the summer.
